eLearning project phases To ensure quality, measurable goals and milestones for every phase of the project are agreed with the customer. By testing compliance with these goals, we are able to be sure that progress is in line with the project plan agreed with the customer.
Goal analysis During the goal analysis phase, the learning goals and content are defined. At the same time, the target audience, their necessary qualifications or prerequisites and their level of experience with interactive learning programs must be determined Rough concept The first building block is the rough concept. This describes the course structure of the e-learning project as well as it’s media-didactic implementation. In addition to time and resource planning, a detailed project plan is created, providing predefined and measurable goals for each phase – crucial for quality control.
script Taking the content provided by the customer, we produce a precise goals catalogue, dividing the material into modules suitable for 15 to 25 minutes of study. Building on this, we develop a script which links the on-screen pages of the learning program to the spoken text and interactive work units which reinforce the learning process.
Prototype and Implementation When the script has been approved, a prototype module is created. This serves as a reference for all other modules. During this phase, the customer can make adjustments and changes to the design and concept, so that we can include these wishes in all subsequent modules. As they are completed, the individual models are passed to the customer for an expert review. The module is then adjusted according to the feedback received.
Evaluation Once the technical work of producing the learn program is completed, it is tested with a pilot group made up of internal experts and typical end users. This groups checks the program for errors of content, and tests its relevance to the target audience, its ease of use and clarity of meaning. The results of this reviewing process are then worked into the beta version, and the final version is produced.
